Hijos del Maíz is a family-owned food truck led by husband-and-wife duo Saul and Yadira, who share a deep love for Latin American street food and community. Together, they created Hijos del Maíz to honor their cultural roots and bring the bold, comforting flavors of their heritage to the streets of Maryland.
The name Hijos del Maíz (Children of the Corn) pays tribute to the heart of Latin cuisine — maize, the sacred grain that has nourished generations and continues to be the soul of our dishes. From freshly made tacos to elotes, tamales, and our signature salsas, every recipe is prepared with love, tradition, and a touch of modern flair.
